The Maker Space instructors and volunteers have been working hard to keep up with the arrival of equipment that needs to be assembled and developing projects so that as you take the Safety and Basic Use class for specific equipment, you actually make something to take home with you in the process of your training.
The workshop Women’s Tool Night Out, sponsored by the local chapter of the Business and Professional Women’s group, included an introduction to the name and use of over 20 tools found in the Assembly area of the Maker Space.
The Embroidery machine Safety and Basic Use class recently included making a customized tote bag and allows Maker Space members use of the embroidery machine during Membership Open Hours or to rent outside of Open Hours for production runs.
The miter saw Safety and Basic Use class has been developed around the creation of a birdhouse.
This Saturday, May 16th the Laser Cutter Safety and Basic Use class will teach attendees how to operate the laser safely as well as allow them create something in leather.
The vinyl cutter and heat press Safety and Basic Use class is being developed by making your own T-shirt as displayed by our volunteers.
The latest addition to the Maker Space is our SawStop table saw.

We will be in touch with the volunteer instructors and set a date and time once there is enough interest to conduct a class.
The motto within the CBI Maker Space is “Teach What You Know”. If you have a special interest in something that you would like to volunteer to teach within the Maker Space, call and schedule a time to come in to share your idea.
