What a great day it was at the CBI on Thursday September 12th starting in the early morning when our clients and friends started bringing in their materials and setting up their marketing areas throughout the building. There was a lot of activity and a lot of friends sharing ideas and networking.
The crowds grew as the Open House began at 10am. By the time of the program at 10:30 we had more than 80 people in the building and there was such a high energy buzz – everyone excited and talking about their business to dignitaries, elected officials, CBI Volunteers, supporters and potential clients and customers.
The program highlighted all those that have come before us to develop the concept of the Cumberland Business Incubator, fund the project, build the building, meet with the first clients and hold the initial workshops. We took the opportunity to give special recognition to Dr Carl Mueller and his role in the initial discussions about the incubator concept in 2003. We presented Dr Mueller with a plaque and room naming. The conference room is now known as the Mueller Conference Room. We are so appreciative of the work Dr Mueller has done and the support that he has provided.
We had the chance to thank clients, volunteers, program participants and supporters and highlight the new opportunities to volunteer as well as provide financial support for our Cook Road sign and sponsorship of rooms within the CBI. It was the first time many had seen our new logo and our new look with our new furniture!
It was a great day at the CBI! If you were there, Thank You. If you missed it, plan to attend the next Open House. We promised those that attended and told us that it was a wonderful day that we would do it again…… Stay tuned.
