Labville is a STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math – group for all ages. The goal is to highlight a topic each month and introduce it to the public at a level we can all understand. August will be 3D Scanning that can lead directly to 3D printing or other means to create the model outside of the computer. Ravi Venkataraman of Ivar Face (www.ivarface.com) has developed a 3D scanner that can scan 180 degrees of a surface in seconds and produce a 3D CAD model of the surface scanned. Then model can then be printed on a 3D printer or produced in other media. Ravi’s first application is art, but there are many more applications to be developed. Think what Michelangelo could have created if he could have scanned a model and received a CAD file that would show him exactly where to remove the marble to create the masterpieces he did. Networking and Numbers at Noon is a Lunch & Learn program that lasts an hour. Business owners need to network to spread the word about their business and they need to understand what the numbers in their business are telling them. Bring your lunch, network, and learn about the numbers that make up the Profit and Loss statement, the Balance Sheet, the Cash Flow Statement, your Break Even point and more – in very small bites – small enough to understand them easily.
SpringBoard starts on September 9th. If you have a business idea or an existing business and are ready to work ON your business instead of always working IN your business, register for SpringBoard. There are 8 Monday evening sessions covering all the business planning concepts to develop a plan for your business’ future – new or for growth of an existing business. Prior attendees have been in business for decades as well as those just starting out. Wherever you are in your business, you need a plan. We have a few spots still available so don’t wait too long to commit to working on your business plan.
Business Coaching – Are you ready to have a one-to-one meeting to talk about your existing business or new business idea? That’s what we’re here for. If you have a specific area where you need help, we try to find you a subject matter expert in that area. Call to make an appointment. Talking out loud about your ideas bring clarity and helps you to know what your next steps are.
Open House – On September 12th we will have an Open House. We will be highlighting our tenants and the businesses that have participated in programs at the CBI. A few booths are still available, so call today to reserve your spot. The public is invited. There will be a short program at 10:30 with plenty of time to visit the business booths and network.
Space – We have space for your business if being a tenant at the Incubator is a good fit for you. We offer office and manufacturing leased space as well as conference rooms and classrooms for rent on an as-needed basis. Check out the information in the sidebar on the spaces available.
