Shopbot: Safety & Basic Use

In this Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class, learn to use the computer-controlled (CNC) ShopBot router to cut objects, parts or art designed in 2D or 3D CAD (computer animated design). Create parts with complex curves and surfaces from most woods, plastics, foams, and other composites.

Bring your lunch or have it delivered; refrigerator, microwave, and water dispenser are available in our break room.

Limited spots are available. If the class fills up a waiting list will be started.

$15 Prepayment required to limit no-shows; pay by card over the phone or stop in to the CBI during open hours to pay by cash, check, or card.

Prerequisites: None, CAD design and woodworking knowledge a plus!

Equipment access: CNC ShopBot router

Safety: Closed-toe shoes required, hearing and eye protection required and will be available
