What can I make in my home kitchen and sell to the public?
- What are the rules I need to follow in my home kitchen?
- Are there any label requirements?
- Are there different rules for Farmer’s Markets?
If I can’t make it in my home kitchen, what is the next step up kitchen?
- What are the requirements for this type of kitchen?
- Where do I find one that I can use?
Do I need safe food handling certification or training, regardless of where I make things?
Can I make lotions and soaps in my home kitchen if it is a product that people will not be eating?
- Do I need to follow any special rules?
- Do I need anything on a label?
How can I legally sell products from my farm? (Raw Milk, meat, produce)
What if I package dry ingredients and sell them as a dip mix?
- Do I need a nutrition label?
- Do I need an expiration date? If so, how do I determine that?
Who comes to inspect my kitchen?
- What will they be looking for?
What else do I need to know before I get started with my food/agriculture business?

Come learn how to reduce your stress and sleep better at night once you know what the rules are and what are just “urban myths” that you thought you had to follow! Some regulations come from the Dept. of Health (workshop tomorrow!). Some regulations come from Dept. of Agriculture. Attend both sessions and get clear answers to all your questions!
