Fast Pitch Winners Announced!

The Cumberland Business Incubator’s (CBI) Global Entrepreneurship Week’s final event on November 22nd provided the opportunity for 7 business owners to pitch their business plans to a crowd of family, friends and community leaders.

The CBI Fast Pitch Homerun Pitch Award was presented to Carolyn Brewer.  As we have heard many times, it can be the story that wins over the votes, and Carolyn’s goals in her business did just that.  Her goal to spend more time with her aging parents and give back to a woman’s organization won her the largest amount of CBI Bucks in the crowdfunding.

The CBI Fast Pitch Best Existing Business Pitch Award was presented to Steve Chapman of Broad Reach Strategies.  Steve has been in business for 14 years providing companies with advanced strategies for defining the profile of the best employee for a position, identifying candidates with those characteristics and successfully onboarding the new hire for the greatest return on investment to the organization.

The CBI Fast Pitch Best New Business Pitch Award was presented to Nancy Burns of Crain Burns Associates who is defining her performance improvement company.  Her entertaining “Business Medic” won crowdfunding votes.

Others participating in the Fast Pitch presentations included Peter Bilodeau (Freelance Writer and Editor), Lonnie Harvey (Home Accessibility Solutions), Jeff Keagle (Edward Jones), and Bill Savarese (Disaster Planning Services).

Consider participating in the next CBI Fast Pitch event and the business planning workshops we are offering in preparation for it.  Call 931-456-4910 for additional information or email cbi@cumberlandincubator.com
