Memorial Day, a time to honor all vets. Did you know that Cumberland County has one of the highest concentration of veterans in the 95 counties of Tennessee?
49% of exiting military from World War II had dreams of starting their own business and many did, the G.I. Generation. 25% of those exiting the military today have dreams of starting their own business within 6 years. Many who have exited service over the decades have started their own business or still dream of doing so. We are here to help.
On August 17th we are calling veterans to a Bunker Muster at 3:00pm at the Cumberland Business Incubator, 2569 Cook Road, Crossville. The Bunker Muster will be a kickoff information session of the entrepreneurship program for vets who want to start their own business, mentored by vets who have done so. Translating the skills learned while in service to running a business is a key component of The Bunker program as well as understanding other aspects of active duty and transition to civilian life.
If you are a vet who has owned your own business or worked in a closely held company, or a vet who dreams of starting your own business, come to the Bunker Muster to learn more about the multi-week program for vets mentored by vets.
Registration is required so that we can provide a space large enough for all. Call 931-456-4910 to register or click here to register.
Please continue to thank our veterans and active duty service personnel throughout the year, not just on Memorial Day.
Thank you for your service.
