In this Safety and Basic Use class, learn to use our laser cutter to cut, etch, and engrave designs in a variety of materials. Work with acrylic, wood, paper, cardboard, leather, etc. Using graphic software like Inkscape, cut intricate designs and engrave highly detailed images at the touch of a button. Whether you want to use this for hobbies or to help with a business idea, the sky is the limit with this simple and versatile tool!
Once you successfully pass this class, you can use this equipment for creating your own projects at the CBI Maker Space as a member during open volunteer hours for only $5/day, $20/month, or $10/month if you are a student.
No prerequisites to take this class; please wear close-toed shoes.
