ShopBot: Safety & Basic Use Class

Join Vince to learn how to use our ShopBot, a CNC (computer numerically controlled) router for milling, drilling, and cutting of wood, plastic, metal, and other materials. In this Safety & Basic Use class you will make a wooden sign.
Please pre-pay for this class to ensure attendance; no refunds will be given. Pay by phone or in person at the CBI Monday-Thursday between the hours of 8am-5pm.

Laser Cutter: Safety & Basic Use Class

In this Safety and Basic Use class, learn to use a laser cutter to cut, etch, and engrave designs in a variety of materials. Work with acrylic, wood, paper, cardboard, leather, etc. Using graphic software like Inkscape, cut intricate designs and engrave highly detailed images at the touch of a button. The sky is the limit with this simple and versatile tool!
Once you successfully pass this class, you can use this equipment for creating your own projects at the CBI Maker Space as a member during open volunteer hours for only $5/day, $20/month, or $10/month if you are a student.
